Charles Bagby entertained the members at the Precita Valley Chess Club with an exhibition and short chat. Playing 18 games, Mr. Bagby won 13, lost 2 (to Bob Blakemore and Leighton Allen), and drew 3 (with Noel Renaud, Jim Reynolds, and Ivan Vegvary). It happened to be one of those nights when Precita Valley didn't have its best turnout but just the same Charlie took things in stride and those who did attend had an enjoyable evening.

On Thursday, June 13th, Henry Gross will take up where Charles Bagby left off and take on all comers at the Precita Valley Chess Club.
