California - 'special exhibition game'

It took George Koltanowski, international master and blindfold artist 'par excellence', no less than 41 moves to down movie star Humphrey Bogart in a special exhibition game in San Francisco arranged by the Chronicle of that city. Koltanowski, playing white 'sans voir' was in trouble during the early middle game but managed to pull out when Bogart failed to find the best continuation.
